I don't really draw on paper much anymore.
Most of my drawings are digital these days. I actually made the switch when I was a kid because my mom didn't want me ruining the carpets with real paint, and honestly, I never looked back.
For some reason, though, people keep asking me to draw on paper. Why? I have no idea. How long has it been? Please don't ask. lol
I've learned not to dismiss sketches too quickly.
A surprising number of my finished projects started life as a throwaway doodle buried somewhere in a canvas file. Sometimes it's a character expression. Sometimes it's a design. Sometimes it's just a random visual that refuses to leave my brain.
They're snapshots of the process before things get cleaned up and polished. The weird in-between stage where ideas are still figuring out what they want to be.
So who knows.
Maybe one of the sketches below eventually ends up in a future book.
Maybe not.
Either way, here's a pile of doodles for public observation. Yes. Its curated. Duh.
